MoonSpace Web Design - Ethical Policy
MoonSpace operate an ethical policy both in the working environment and in our personal lives:
- We source our electricity from Ecotricity because we believe renewable energy is not an “alternative”, it is the only future.
- We support carbon offsetting charities that are dedicated to replacing the indigenous woodlands of the UK
- We use as little paper as possible. What paper waste we produce we recycle via the local council.
- All our waste inkjet and laser toner cartridges are donated to Actionaid where they are recycled.
- All our stamps are donated to Guide Dogs For The Blind.
- We conserve water at all times and only use water where it is absolutely necessary.
- We grow as much of our own food as possible to prevent reliance on multi-national supermarket chains.
- We both benefit from and contribute to FreeCycle to help reduce landfill.
- We avoid over-packaged products where possible and recycle or reuse the packaging where not.
- Our sister company BrynaHerb™ Essences operate a carbon offsetting policy which matches customer contributions pound for pound.
- We use no household or cosmetic products that are harmful to the environment.
- We use no household or cosmetic products that are tested on animals.
- We conserve energy wherever possible. Our electrical equipment is never left on standby and our computer systems (including network) are powered down when not in use.
In addition we will not undertake design contracts from companies that we view as unethical. We prefer to support companies and organizations that preserve and protect our environment and the rights of the people of the earth.
