CheckRenewables
CheckRenewables is a website that was developed for Shropshire and Cheshire County Councils. It provides a 'renewables toolkit' which allows users to enter details of their dwelling. These details are then used to advise the customer on which renewable energy technologies are suitable for their circumstances.

- A system of dynamic .pdf creation
The website was developed in conjunction with the National Energy Foundation and Energy Projects Plus. As well as the 'live' website, two laptops were also provided which run 'stand-alone' versions of the website for use in areas where there is no connection to the internet.
Carbon Workout
The 'Carbon Workout' is an interactive carbon calculator which was developed in conjunction with National Energy Foundation and the the c-change trust. It takes elements from traditional carbon calculators and then goes one step further and allows the user to make 'pledges' to reduce their carbon footprint based on the information they have entered.

- A complete carbon calculator including household, car travel and air travel elements
- A dynamic system of 'charting' your progress as you complete the calculator
- A downloadable final report giving information to help reduce your carbon footprint
- A series of 'pledges' based on your situation
Once pledges have been made, a further report is available, detailing your pledges and providing useful information to allow you to carry out your pledges. The website also emails the user after a three month period and allows them to revist their pledges, report on their progress and (hopefully) make more pledges. The workout also links to PayPal so users can acknowledge their carbon debt.
The carbon workout was recently given 9/10 marks in an Observer poll of the top calculators, beating BT, bestfootforward, WWF, DEFRA and the official government calculator. The calculator is hosted within the main National Energy Foundation website.
